- Book Cricket works fully offline. By default your name and stats stay on your device only.
- Signing in with Google Play Games is optional. It adds cloud save and leaderboards, and shares your Play Games profile with Google.
- We show ads through Google AdMob. On your first launch, and any time from Settings, you choose your ad-privacy options.
- We don't collect your real name, email, phone number, precise location, or any payment details — there is nothing to buy in this app.
- We don't sell your data. We never have.
Information we collect
What you give us directly
When you first open Book Cricket, you choose a player name. It's stored only in the app's local save file on your device — we never see it, and it never leaves your phone unless you link a Google Play Games account (see below).
We do collect
- Your in-game player name (device-local)
- Match history: runs, wickets, sixes, wins
- Coins, unlocked books and stadiums
- Google Player ID & profile, only if you sign in
- Advertising identifiers, via AdMob
We never collect
- Your real name or email address
- Phone number or contacts
- Precise GPS location
- Payment or card details
- Photos, microphone, or camera data
Google Play Games Services (optional)
If you choose to sign in — from Settings, or when watching a reward video prompts it — Google shares your Player ID and public Play Games profile with the app, so we can attach your scores to the leaderboards and store a copy of your save in your Google Account's saved games. If you never sign in, none of this happens.
Advertising data
Rewarded and interstitial ads are served by Google AdMob and its partner networks. Depending on your region and choices, this can include an advertising identifier, coarse location inferred from IP address, and which ads you view or dismiss. Book Cricket asks Google's consent form to confirm your ad-privacy choices before any ad-related data is requested — you can revisit that choice any time from Settings → Privacy Options.
How we use it
- Playing the game. Your local save tracks progress, records, and unlocks between sessions.
- Cloud save & leaderboards. If signed in, your stats sync to Google Play Games so you can switch devices and compare scores with other players.
- Showing ads. Watching a rewarded video is how you earn extra coins without paying; interstitials appear between some matches. Ad data is used to select, deliver, and measure those ads.
- Support. If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply to you.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information to anyone. It's shared only with the services below, each of which processes it under their own privacy policy:
Storage, retention & deletion
Local save data lives in your device's private app storage and is deleted the moment you uninstall Book Cricket. Cloud save data, if you've signed in, is held in your Google Account's saved games until you disconnect Book Cricket from Google Play Games or delete it through your Google Account settings. Advertising identifiers are retained and rotated according to Google AdMob's own policies, outside our control.
Your choices
- Play offline. Skip Google Play Games sign-in entirely and nothing but ad SDK data ever leaves your device.
- Change ad consent anytime. Settings → Privacy Options reopens Google's consent form.
- Disconnect cloud save. Sign out of Google Play Games from your device's account settings.
- Erase local data. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on-device.
Children's privacy
Book Cricket is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us below and we'll remove it.
Security
We rely on the security built into Android's app-private storage and Google's own infrastructure for sign-in, saved games, and ads. No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, but we don't run any servers of our own that hold your data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Book Cricket after a change means you accept the updated policy.
